Sébeillon
Sébeillon Lausanne2016
360 apartments on a former Swiss Railways and Post site. A delicate environment in an ‘in-between’ of city and outskirt, contaminated with drugs and prostitution in the ending course of the river Flon. Four courtyard houses and a long bar are the elements to create a intrinsic dense urban identity. The supporting facades of all the buildings are made out of prefabricated concrete pieces with inlays of natural stone from Splügen, nourishing the site with some classical elegance, to counter the notorious harshness of the ‘milieu’.
